Meares Funeral Home was established in Mullins, South Carolina in 1941 by Jack Meares. Mr. Meares moved to Mullins from Fair Bluff, N.C. where he purchased an existing funeral home that was located on Main Street in Mullins. He served families at that location until 1971. Seeing the need for additional parking and a more modern facility, he built the present location on Highway 76 in 1972.
Meares Funeral Home remains a family owned and operated full service funeral home today that still operates under the same beliefs that Mr. Meares had which include serving families with professionalism, dignity, and respect.
To the Families of Our Community,
Seventy-two years ago, Jack Meares opened Meares Funeral Home in Mullins, SC offering personal, compassionate service at a reasonable cost. Forty years ago, we built our new funeral home to continue this tradition from a modern, more accessible facility offering a spacious chapel, yet warm and comfortable surroundings. We understand that what served the families in our community years ago may not be what serves them well today. This is why we remain at the forefront of innovations that provide real comfort and practical solutions at a most difficult time. Providing things like personalized memorial folders, memory displays, tribute videos and online memorials giving friends the ability to leave a personal message for the family, are but a few examples of the services we offer. In today’s economy, we know how important it is to watch every dollar we spend. This is why you might find it hard to believe that so much can be offered. We encourage you to compare our personal service, modern facility, and low prices.
